Broadstreet Partners has sold its student housing property called the Farm at Clemson to Palm Beach based Calidus Holdings for $7,950,000. The 105 bed property, which Broadstreet developed and completed in July 2016 is in a prime location and is fully leased for the upcoming student year.
“There has been a big push to build new housing very close to campus. This trend is happening across the country and offers individual living in a close communal environment, walk-able to all the places students want to be. We see this trend continuing and are committed to delivering these types of projects.” Matt Covington – Broadstreet Partners, LLC.
Calidus has been actively acquiring and selling student housing assets since 2013 and has accumulated a portfolio as large as 7,000 beds. “We really like the cottage design and location of The Farm and obviously Clemson’s enrollment growth is a great attraction. We will continue to grow our portfolio with similar acquisitions” commented Jonathan Cameron-Hayes, Chief Executive of Calidus.
